In 2021, Pooja joined Tiktok making satirical comedy videos about the characters of New York City, LA, and other major cities. She has amassed 110k+ followers on Tiktok, and 126k+ followers on Instagram. She has partnered with numerous brands including Starbucks, Instagram, Eventbrite, Kiehl's and Lyft.
In 2022, Pooja created a sketch series Brooklyn Coffeeshop about two disgruntled baristas interacting with a variety of customers while working in a hipster coffeeshop. The show has garnered over 50M total views across Instagram and Tiktok and features well known comedians and personalities as each episode's customers. Her TikTok journey has been featured in Business Insider, and she was included in a New York Magazine feature of the most influential TikTokkers in their 2023 Reasons to Love New York issue. Some of her most popular characters include Brooklyn Coffeeshop Barista, Girl Who Just Moved to Manhattan, American Tourist, and French Tourist. Pooja Tripathi is a first generation Indian American actor, writer and content creator based in New York City. She grew up in Pittsburgh & NYC, and studied at Carnegie Mellon University.
Pooja is the co-creator of 6-episode dramedy series Amsterdam Ave. which takes place in Amsterdam & NYC. The show features talent including Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Insecure), music directors Coco & Breezy, and Dutch star Beau Schneider. It's been featured in Elle, Marie Claire, Grazia, Brown Girl Mag and more. Pooja and her co-creator set up a tour of 30+ screenings with stops including Harvard Business School, Carnegie Mellon University, LinkedIn, Scholastic, Soho House and the Dutch Embassy.
